In the span of just one week, our dedicated team went from first creative brief to final delivery, culminating in the creation of a hero video shot and edited specifically for cinema delivery. Meticulous attention to detail from pre-production to post, combined with an unwavering commitment to excellence from our crew, definitely helped make this a reality.
Our brief was to produce a hero video that clearly demonstrated the Year to Go Look: A makeup-look comprised of all the newest products available in YSL Beauty's lineup. To kickstart the project, our first day on set was dedicated to building out the two separate studio spaces, arranging lights, audio, and props, plus configuring the multiple cameras in each set to capture the client's story with perfect clarity. The following day we got to it, guiding the talent through the process and capturing their key 'makeup look' for the upcoming season. We transitioned into post-prod that same evening, collaborating closely with our client's team to ensure we could deliver them a draft within 48 hours.
Our in-house colourists fine-tuned each clip, to give the entire project that consistent 'YSL vibe'. Black, gold, and lots of contrast. And we absolutely love it. The icing on the cake was the various bespoke animations we re-constructed from scratch, based on the client's reference material, to ensure the project was perfectly on-brand with their existing visual identity.
